We’re delighted to announce that we are again the headline sponsor of this year’s Sue Ryder Brontë Off Road Bike Challenge, taking place on Sunday 20 September 2026 in the heart of Brontë Country.
About the Challenge
Organised by the Manorlands Cycling Events Fundraising Group, the Brontë Off Road Bike Challenge is one of the area’s best-loved cycling events, with every entry fee going directly towards Sue Ryder’s local palliative care and bereavement support services.
Starting and finishing at the former Haworth West End Cricket Club on Penistone Hill, riders can choose from four off-road routes to suit all abilities:
- Anne – 13.9 miles, 1,910ft of climbing. A family-friendly route suitable for younger or less experienced riders (under-16s must be accompanied by an adult).
- Emily – 22.3 miles, 2,467ft of climbing.
- Charlotte – 26.4 miles, 3,422ft of climbing.
- Heathcliff – 35.6 miles, 4,422ft of climbing, for the most experienced off-road riders.
Every finisher receives a momento of the day and a well-earned meal at the finish. The Bike Challenge takes place alongside the Sue Ryder Brontë Half Marathon on the same day, making for a brilliant morning of activity in and around Haworth.
